If you book a session through Acuity Scheduling, Acuity may collect additional information as part of the booking process. Please refer to Acuity Scheduling's own privacy policy for details on how they handle your data.

How Your Data Is Used

Your personal data is used solely to respond to your enquiry, to schedule and manage your counselling appointments, and to send session-related communications. Your data will never be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Session Notes and Recordings

With your consent, session notes and audio recordings may be made during or after sessions for clinical purposes. These are used solely to support your therapeutic care and are only reviewed by your therapist. Where recordings are made, these may be transcribed using an AI-assisted tool to support clinical note-taking. Transcription data may be processed on servers located outside Singapore. Consent for recordings and transcription is obtained through the client intake and consent form prior to the commencement of services. You may withdraw this consent at any time by informing your therapist in writing, without affecting your care.

Third-Party Tools

This practice uses the following third-party tools: Acuity Scheduling for appointment booking, Google Meet for online sessions, Google Drive for secure storage of session records, and Squarespace as the website platform. Each has its own privacy policy which you are encouraged to review.

Data Retention

Personal data collected through the contact form is retained only as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry or manage your therapeutic relationship. Session notes and records are retained for a minimum of five years following the end of the therapeutic relationship, in line with professional practice guidelines. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time via the contact form on this website.

Cookies

This website is hosted on Squarespace, which may use cookies for basic website functionality and analytics. No additional tracking or advertising cookies are used by Somatic Attachment Therapy.

Your Rights Under the PDPA
